Pastoral Days
Two events took place in 2007, one in the North and one in the South of Britain.
The theme for the day was the story of Emmaus. As the day unfolded we looked at how it offered us a pattern of how we, as Salesians, could accompany young people in their life journey.
A strength of the days was that as well as sisters and those working in our communities there were people present who had taken the Salesian Charism into new areas through work and life situations. We were also blessed by the presence of members of our Salesian family who have kept Don Bosco’s work alive in places where the FMA no longer live.
Both days ended with the celebration of the Eucharist, a fitting way to send us out to continue spreading the Good News.
The photographs will hopefully give you a flavour of these days.
The team are currently working on two further days which will take place in the new scholastic year 2008-2009 so watch this space for further details.
