Getting Involved
|
|
Do you like what you see? Would you like to learn more about Salesian Spirituality or get involved in some way?
Here are some ways to getting involved:
Get in touch with local Salesian Community. Go to our communities pages and find a community of sisters near you. Our houses are always very welcoming so don't be afraid to get in touch. If there is not a community of sisters near you the Salesian Priests also have several communities in Great Britain.
Volunteering opportunities
We have several projects you can get involved in. Why not get in touch and see if you can volunteer in some way? We always offer training for any work we do with young people and volunteering with us is a great way of learning our educative ethos of the Preventive System.
Salesian Co-operators
Salesian Co-operators are lay men and women who commit themselves to living in a Salesian way. They make promises and continue their normal working lives. They can be married or single and they usually gather once a month in a Salesian community for formation and sharing. Check the Salesian Family Web Portal for details
or contact your neasrest Salesian Community.
Becoming a Salesian Sister (FMA), Brother, Priest (SDB) or Vowed Lay person (VDB).
Perhaps you are interested in a more permanent commitment to the Salesian Way of life? You could follow this link to our sisters' pages which explains the journey of becoming a Salesian sister or for the Salesian Priests and Brothers click here. If you are interested in a commitment as a Vowed Lay Person, contact Sr Pauline Clarke. Sr Pauline Clarke |
